Giveaway: Full Delegate Registration Pass to 2013 Canadian Cardiovascular Congress

Vascular2013_CMYKFrom October 17-20th, 2013, the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress (CCC) will join forces with the Canadian Stroke Congress, the Canadian Diabetes Association/Canadian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism Professional Conference and the Canadian Hypertension Congress for Vascular 2013. This year’s event is hosted in Montreal, Quebec.

This event will bring Canada’s key medical conferences under one roof and mark an unprecedented educational and community building opportunity. Physicians, scientists, clinicians, nurses, educators, allied health professionals, and policy makers will be there.

The Libin Institute is sponsoring the giveaway of a full delegate registration pass to CCC (valued at up to $950) along with a $500 cash award for travel expenses. The award is open to Libin Cardiovascular Institute trainees, students and post doctorates. 


Applicants must be:

  • enrolled in a Libin Institute training program
  • currently obtaining their post-doctorate related to cardiac research or;
  • a student in a Libin Institute primary member’s research lab

Priority will be given to trainees who are presenting an abstract at the meeting and the quality of the CV. Those who have received “Have a Heart Bursary” will not be eligible.

Email your current CV, along with a short paragraph outlining your reason for proposed attendance to by Sept 6, 2013. An advisory committee comprised of the Director, Research Director and Education Council Chair of the Libin Institute will select the best candidate based on various criteria including nominations, and proposed presence at the Cardiovascular Congress (i.e. presentation, abstract, etc).
