About Sean McMurtry

Sean McMurtry trained in Cardiology and Vascular Medicine, and completed a PhD studying the vascular biology of pulmonary vascular diseases. His professional interests include all forms of vascular diseases in adults, including peripheral arterial disease, venous thromboembolism, and disorders of the aorta. In addition to running a vascular biology laboratory, he works in the Cardiovascular Risk Reduction Clinic at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute, runs a Peripheral Arterial Disease Clinic at the Grey Nuns Hospital, an Aortic Disease Clinic, and collaborates in the University of Alberta’s Venous Thomboembolism Clinic.
