MRI compatible pacemakers

Three Canadian hospitals in three provinces played central roles in the multi-year Canadian clinical trials leading to Health Canada’s approval of a new MRI compatible pacemaker. The Calgary site lead was the Libin Cardiovascular Institute of Alberta’s Dr Anne Gillis, who was featured in a number of media stories about the trial and the merits of the new pacemaker.
