Members of the Libin Cardiovascular Institute of Alberta (LCIA) achieved exceptional success in the recent Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research Independant Investigator Award Competitions. Overall success rate for applicants province wide was 31% where as LCIA applicants achieved 88.5% success – remarkably almost three fold the provincial average!
