Libin HSF Lab Tours

In Learning on March 19, 2009 at 4:46 pm

On the evening of Monday March 16th 2009, the Libin Cardiovascular Institute of Alberta hosted lab tours for volunteers of the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, NWT & Nunavut. This was a wonderful opportunity for the Institute to showcase the amazing work that the HSF supports to those who work so hard to raise funds one door at a time. Currently, twenty four of the Libin researchers are funded by the HSF.

Special thanks go to those who volunteered to make this event a success: Principal Investigators (Drs. Anderson, Hutchinson, Exner, Childs, Fedak, Duff, Loutzenhiser, Patel and Chen), lab staff and guides, Kakali Majumdar and the HSF team, Sasha Wiens and the CHAMP team (including UCalgary Nursing Students and Dennis Rabel of the Calgary Fire Department) and the Libin team (including Gerry Groves, Candace Liedtke and Shauna Wilkinson et al).

Below are a few image thumbnails from the event (click for larger images):

If you attended or participated in this event, please feel free to leave your comments!
